Yes. All dresser drawers should be emptied prior to the move. It adds undue weight and additional risk of damage to your furniture during transit. Additionally, all drawers manufactured of Pressed Wood or Particle Board furniture are particularly prone to damage when moved and should be completely empty of everything. The contents of all desk drawers should also be removed. Standard file cabinets (2 drawers only) can stay packed, however, the drawers must be locked or securely taped shut. Lateral and Fireproof file cabinets must be emptied. Clothing may remain in dresser drawers, but please remove fragile, valuable, and heavy items (i.e. perfume, jewelry, books, papers, etc.)
Please note that we will not be liable for any valuables such as documents, medicine, priceless items, jewelry, and currency. Our insurance company always recommends these items be personally transported by the homeowner.
Lots! How much will fit the in the truckload depends on quite a few factors. The main ones are: how many items you have and how many non-stackable items there are (such as exercise machines, fragile furniture, fragile boxes, yard furniture/tools etc.).
Yes. You will receive an email one day prior to your move as well as a call by your crew leader prior to leaving for your location.
